Keeping Kids Healthy During the School Year

So many of Bug's friends are going to preschool in the fall!  I can hardly believe it, so many of these kids whom I first met as three- and four-month-olds are already getting their backpacks together, and at the end of August/beginning of September, they will be headed off to learn their ABCs.

One of my biggest fears about sending Bug to school (or, quite honestly, taking him and his brother anywhere) is illness.  Because let's face it, the moment one of your adorable germ factories gets sick, everyone in your household is pretty much in for it.  But how can you protect everyone from illness when exposure to it is inevitable?  You simply can't just squirt hand sanitizer on yourself or passers-by each time someone coughs in your general direction (although, believe me, the thought has crossed my mind several times).

For starters, one of the best and easiest things to do is to instill in your child a love of hand washing.  Bug loves to wash his hands, and every time I go to the bathroom he usually follows me in and insists upon lathering up and running the hot water as he sings a song.  (Note:  A good rule of thumb to follow is to rub soap over your hands for as long as it takes you to sing the ABC song to yourself).

But what if you want something to help your body fend off foreign invaders?  While there are all sorts of products out there that claim to protect you from germs, many contain additives that are questionable, and others don't really seem to do anything at all.  Being my semi-organic self, I looked for a more natural way to boost my kiddo's immunity, and I found it in Nozin® Nasal Sanitizer®.  It's a nasal antiseptic that combines a patented formula with natural moisturizers to provide advanced hygiene for the nose, which is a chief entry point for many germs.  It kills 99.99% of germs, helps prevent infection, and one use provides protection for up to 8 hours.

What I really liked about Nozin is that it is made with completely natural ingredients.  Additionally, it's zinc and gluten-free, and is highly effective and safe.  Plus, it's super kid-friendly, and it has a soothing orange scent and is an easy addition to your daily routine.

Some good news?  You can pick up Nozin at Walgreens and many other retailers nationwide--and during the month of July they are offering a special!   Buy one Nasal Sanitizer® and Get an Allergy Master® (also all natural) for free.  To find out more, go here.

Some even better news?  The Prime Parents Club is giving away a sample of Nozin as their current VIPP Perk, and you can enter to win it here.
